What is the "topline" of news? Whether artificial intelligence can replace a journalist and other challenges facing the modern information space were discussed during professional development training for media workers and teachers at journalism faculties in Turkmenistan.
Organized by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, the "Training Course on Preparing News and Thematic Materials for Digital Media" was held from May 8 to 10.
Invited international experts - Marek Bekerman (UK) and Vitaliy Rugain (Republic of Belarus) - familiarized participants with current global trends and modern trends in media development.
The acquired skills in using digital journalism tools and multimedia content creation technologies allowed course participants to complete a series of practical assignments to consolidate the material.
The lecture program concluded with the awarding of certificates.
As the attendees noted, the newly acquired knowledge will help increase the efficiency of national mass media.
The OSCE Center in Ashgabat cooperates fruitfully with the Government of Turkmenistan, providing expert support in the process of media transformation. International seminars and conferences aimed at improving professional activities are regularly held for Turkmen journalists.
