Volleyball players of Turkmenistan defeated the Kyrgyzstan’s team at the Central Asian Nations League

The national volleyball team of Turkmenistan won its first victory at the Central Asian Nations League taking place in Islamabad, Pakistan.

After a 2:3 (25:23, 25:21, 16:25, 23:25, 17:19) defeat in the first round against the Iranian national team, last year's tournament winner, our compatriots confidently won against the Kyrgyzstan team with a score of 3:0 (25:19, 25:22, 25:21).

The tournament, held under the auspices of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA), features teams from Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka.

In the next match, the Turkmenistan national team will play against the hosts - volleyball players of Pakistan, who beat their opponents from Afghanistan in the first round with a score of 3:0 (25:19, 25:21, 25:16) and also defeated the Sri Lankan team in three sets in the second round with a score of 3:0 (25:21, 25:23, 25:18).

The Iranian national team also has two victories, having prevailed over the Afghan team in the second round with a score of 3:0 (25:17, 25:23, 25:19).

The volleyball teams of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan each have one victory. The Kyrgyz team narrowly defeated the representatives of Sri Lanka with a score of 3:2 (25:27, 25:17, 25:19, 20:25, 15:10) in the first round.

The tournament will conclude on May 17.
