The youth organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly holds regular events aimed at instilling in young people the values of patriotism, humanism, and high morality, expressed in the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi. To this end, on the 10th to 11th of May, a series of events were held in the Magtymguly etrap of Balkan velayat, in which deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the Youth Organization, scientists and educators, leading writers and poets, representatives of the media and young scientists took part. These included laying flowers at the monument to Magtymguly Fragi, a scientific and practical conference «Magtymguly – our past, present and future», a poetry evening, an award ceremony for the winners of the creative competition «Berkarar döwletiň ylham joşguny», a visit to the Magtymguly Fragi Museum in the village of Gerkez, cultural -mass events with the participation of cultural and artistic figures.
At a specially equipped area in front of the Magtymguly Fragi Museum, musical and song performances by cultural and artistic figures of the Balkan velayat took place and the literary and musical composition «Akyldary sarpalap, galkyndyryp çar ýany, toý baýrama beslenýär Pyragynyň mekany» was performed. Here, children taking part in the drawing competition «Biz – Arkadag Serdarly Watanyň bagtyýar nesilleri» demonstrated their creative abilities, announced by the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The opening ceremony of the scientific and practical conference «Magtymguly – our past, present and future» and the work of its sections took place in the conference hall of the Magtymguly Fragi Museum. The plenary session was addressed by People's Writer of Turkmenistan O. Annayev, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine «Dünýä edebiýaty» R. Gylyjov, Chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly Y. Kereyev, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan T. Tachmamedova and other speakers.
The speakers noted that Magtymguly’s dreams of a free and happy life for the Turkmen people in a sovereign state have become a reality today as a result of a far-sighted policy, the foundations of which were laid by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and successfully implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
After summing up the results of the conference «Magtymguly- our past, present and future», sadaka was given in honour of the classical poet Magtymguly Fragi and prayers were offered for the further prosperity of our country, for the success of all the noble undertakings of its leadership.
A poetry evening was also dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, where young literature lovers who took part in the creative competition «Berkarar döwletiň ylham joşguny» met with mentors, exchanged ideas and read their own poems. At the meeting, famous writers shared their experiences and gave valuable advice to young people passionate about creativity.
The award ceremony for the winners of the creative competition «Berkarar döwletiň ylham joşguny» took place at the Magtymguly Fragi Museum, located in the Magtymguly etrap of the Balkan velayat. The annual holding of this ceremony on the land where the great son of the Turkmen people walked serves as a source of inspiration for youth passionate about creativity. This year, the jury selected 35 out of 150 works submitted by creatively gifted young people for the competition, announced jointly by the Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly of Turkmenistan and the editorial office of the «Nesil» newspaper.
The main prize of the competition was received by the own correspondent of the newspaper «Nesil» Ayshat Hojamuhammedova. The first place was shared by the leading employee of the organizational department of the council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly of the Sakarchage etrap, Mary velayat, Suray Babaniyazova, teacher of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan Ogulshat Myratberdiyeva and third-year student of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov Nury Sakchiyev.
After the award ceremony for the winners of the creative competition, writers, poets and young journalists visited the village of Gerkez in the Magtymguly etrap, where a concert, exhibition, and creative meetings were organized for them. Young people had unforgettable impressions after visiting the Magtymguly Fragi Museum and getting acquainted with its exhibits. In particular, the teapot that the poet brought from India as a gift to his sister Zubeyda and the ring intended for his beloved girl Menli aroused great interest. After an impressive tour of the museum, the participants of the creative tour also visited the historical and natural attractions of the etrap.
