«Altyn Asyr» players won a strong-willed victory in the capital's derby over Ashgabat in the match of the 15th round of the Turkmenistan championship among major league clubs.
The game took place at the «Nisa» stadium.
The «Ashgabat» players lost heavily to «Arkadag» in the previous round - 1:7 and therefore from the first minutes tried to rehabilitate themselves in the eyes of the fans for the crushing defeat. And at first everything went well for Seyit Seyidov’s charges. In the 17th minute, thanks to the efforts of Azat Annayev, «Ashgabat» took the lead 1:0 and maintained this advantage until the 33rd minute, at which Selim Nurmyradov leveled the situation - 1:1.
In the 45th minute, S. Nurmyradov scored a double, and the teams went into the break with the score 2:1 in favour of «Altyn Asyr».
In the second half, Yazgul Hojageldiyeva’s team scored two more goals against the opponent, which were scored by Rovshengeldi Halmamedov (72nd minute) and Arslan Saparov (77th minute) and achieved a major victory - 4:1.
After this game, «Altyn Asyr» rose to second place, equaling on points (28) with «Ahal», which dropped to third position, having played one more match.
The leader in the championship is still «Arkadag», which after another major away victory over «Kopetdag» - 5:1 - now has 39 points.
The opponents started this game very effectively, scoring three goals within the first nine minutes. «Arkadag» player Shamammet Hydyrov opened the scoring in the 6th minute, and Arslanmyrat Amanov doubled the result in the 7th minute. Two minutes later, Bayramhan Kadyrov pulled one goal back. However, in the 18th minute, Arslanmyrat Amanov, scoring a double, again increased the gap in the score to two goals. Subsequently, Begench Akmammedov scored another double, scoring a goal in each half, in the 24th and 60th minutes.
It is noteworthy that the first-round match between these rivals, which took place on the 6th of April, also ended with a major victory for «Arkadag» - 5:0.
In another match of the 15th round, the Turkmenbashy’s «Shagadam» won a strong-willed away victory over the Mary «Energetik» - 3:1. For the winners, Mekan Ashyrov scored a double (16th and 71st minutes from the penalty spot), and Arslan Yollyyev scored another goal in stoppage time (90+7). For the losers, Farid Kamaleddinov (11th) scored the only goal against the opponents in the opening game.
This is already the eleventh defeat of «Energetika», which closes the standings with 2 points. And «Shagadam», having scored 21 points, rose to fourth place. «Merv», which is in fifth position, has the same number of points, but it has played one less match.
In the 16th round of the Turkmenistan football championship the following teams will play: «Nebitchi» - «Ashgabat», «Altyn Asyr» - «Kopetdag», «Arkadag» - «Energetik» and «Shagadam» - «Merv».
