The development of the agricultural sector of the national economy, bringing it to a new qualitative level is the basis of the fundamental reforms taking place in our country. As part of this activity, great attention is paid to increasing the production of silk, which is a valuable industrial product.

Farmers in Balkan velayat plan to produce 25 tons of silk this year. That is why 685 bags of beneficial silkworm larvae, adapted to natural conditions, were distributed to experienced silkworm breeders on the basis of appropriate contracts.

Of the 25 tons of silk that will be produced in the Balkan velayat, 20 tons will fall on the share of silkworm breeders in the Magtymguly etrap. Tenants of the Gyzylarbat and Bereket etraps also strive for high results.

Silkworm larvae, first imported from the People's Republic of China and used this year, have been successful, experts say. These larvae are distinguished by universal reliability, productivity, including high resistance to disease.

The hard work and organized work of Balkan silk farmers are the key to good results this year.
