Scientific-practical conference dedicated to the Day of Ashgabat City was held

A scientific-practical conference titled "Gül diýaryň ýüregi Aşgabat" was held at the Publishing and Printing Secondary Vocational School of the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan.

The event, timed to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker of the East, the classical poet Magtymguly Fragi, and the 143rd anniversary of the city of Ashgabat, brought together representatives of relevant structures, editors, print media workers, teachers of educational institutions and students.

The speakers included the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Saragt Babaev, the Chief Editor of the "Gurluşyk we binagärlik" magazine Yazgul Ezizova, and the candidate of sciences Maksat Amanov.

One of the central topics was the opening of the majestic monument to Magtymguly Fragi and the new cultural and park complex "Magtymguly Fragi" in the southern part of Ashgabat.

A large team headed by Saragt Babayev worked on the creation of such a large-scale sculpture of the great son of the Turkmen people. The author of the sculptural composition spoke about the work done and the features of the monument.

The monument to Magtymguly Fragi is installed on a natural hill. Its height is 60 meters. At the same time, the pedestal, on which the catchphrases from the poem "The Future of Turkmenistan" and lines from the poem of the Hero-Arkadag "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" are carved, is 25 meters. Thus, the monument reflects the scale of the poet's personality and his rich creative heritage, which has gone beyond the national framework and is an integral part of the world literature.

The conference also discussed the architectural heritage of the ancient city of Anev, described in detail in President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's book "Anev – Culture from the Depths of Millennia." Reports were presented on the city of Arkadag, which was granted a special status as a city of state importance, and the architectural design of the white marble capital of Turkmenistan.
