Issues of cooperation in the field of protection and promotion of children's rights, creation of all necessary conditions for quality education, health care and comprehensive development of the country's young generation were discussed at the meeting with Mohammad Fayyazi, UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan, and Yazdursun Gurbannazarova, Ombudsperson of Turkmenistan. Characterizing UNICEF's long-standing cooperation with all national partners in Turkmenistan, including the Ombudsperson's Office, Mohammad Fayyazi noted its positive dynamics.

During the meeting, the parties noted the previously achieved results of fruitful cooperation and discussed further actions within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework between the Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations 2021-2025, the National Action Plan on Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, as well as the National Action Plan for Realization of Children's Rights in Turkmenistan for 2023-2028, which are based on a solid socio-economic and legislative base.

As successful examples of the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation, it was noted the joint work on the creation of a separate area for children's and women's rights in the Office of the Ombudsperson of Turkmenistan, the preparation of the Alternative Report of the Office of the Ombudsperson of Turkmenistan on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as various events to protect and promote the rights and interests of children.

The parties paid special attention to the important role of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, established on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, in providing comprehensive support to children without parental care and those in need of special care from the state and society. At the end of the meeting, held at the Office of the Ombudsperson, the parties expressed gratitude to each other for constructive cooperation and wished further success in noble deeds for the benefit of children.
