The footballers of the Turkmenistan national team have arrived for a training camp in the Turkish city of Antalya, where they will prepare until June 4 for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualification against the teams of Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.

According to the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, 24 players from three Turkmen and one Kyrgyz clubs have been invited to the national team to prepare for the final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying games.

The following players are training at the camp in Turkey as part of the national team: goalkeepers - Rustem Akhallyyev ('Akhal'), Batyr Babaev ('Altyn Asyr'), Gurbanmyrat Garaev ('Arkadag'); defenders - Guychmyrat Annagulyyev, Abdy Byashimov, Mekan Saparov, Ikhlas Toyjanov, Meilis Durdyev (all - 'Arkadag'), Ata Geldiyev, Hakmuhammet Byashimov (both - 'Akhal'); midfielders - Arslanmyrat Amanov, Mirza Beknazarov, Velmyrat Ballakov, Shanazar Tirkishov (all - 'Arkadag'), Teymur Charyev ('Abdysh-Ata', Kyrgyzstan), Alibek Abdyrakhmanov, Yazgylych Gurbanov (both - 'Akhal'); and forwards - Didar Durdyev, Altymyrat Annadurdyev, Begench Akmammedov (all three - 'Arkadag'), Myrat Annaev, Selim Nurmyradov (both - 'Altyn Asyr'), Akmammet Metdaev and Elman Tagaev (both - 'Akhal').

In the 5th round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualification, our footballers will face Uzbekistan on June 6 in Tashkent, and in the final qualifying match, they will play against Hong Kong at home on June 11.

Recall that in previous matches, the Turkmen footballers lost 1:3 at home to Uzbekistan, drew 2:2 away with Hong Kong, and lost 0:5 away and 0:1 at home to Iran.

After four rounds, the Turkmenistan national team with 1 point is in third place in Group E. Hong Kong, which is at the bottom of the standings, also has 1 point. The teams of Iran and Uzbekistan are in the top two positions, with 10 points each.
