Festive events dedicated to International Children's Day will take place in Ashgabat on Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2. The capital's concert halls and parks invite families to spend an exciting weekend together.
On June 1 at 15:00, there will be a festive concert by the Youth Symphony Orchestra and the United Children's Choir "Bagtyýarlyk owazlary" ("Melodies of Happiness") at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
The program will feature famous musical works by Turkmen and foreign composers performed by students of music schools and cultural palaces.
On June 1, the Vatan cinema and concert center invites to the inclusive "Childhood Planet" festival organized by the "Ýeňme" public organization.
Guests will enjoy performances by creatively gifted children representing the country's velayats. The festival begins at 15:00 and admission is free.
On June 2, the "Children's Climbing Festival" will take place in Ashgabat’s "Älem" cultural and entertainment center. It is organized by the Agama Mountaineering Club with the support of the Magtymguly Youth Organization's Children's Fund.
The event is scheduled from 10:00 to 14:00. Children aged 5 to 13 will be able to try rock climbing and discover this exciting sport.
