A large-scale eSports tournament took place in Ashgabat “Oguz Khan eSports Cup” dedicated to the first anniversary of the opening of the city of Arkadag. Students and young people took an active part in the event of different ages and professions - Turkmen citizens who have shown keen interest in the event, desire to perform and demonstrate your skills and abilities in eSports.
This form of holding the tournament made it even more attractive to participants. Exciting competitions took place on the basis of the Cybersport Center Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan named after Oguzkhan, who acted as the organizer and sponsor of this tournament.
As a result of the playoff match, the teams were determined and players who have received the right to participate in the tournament for such popular esports disciplines such as Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and EA Sports FC 2024. 16 teams each competed in Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, 21 players participated in games on EA Sports FC 2024. All participants fought with dignity for the title of leaders and the best cyber-sportsmen of Turkmenistan.
In the final games of Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, absolute the leader was the Oguzhan team, which won first places in both competitions. The teams took second place e-sportsmen Ashgabat Yalkym and Diyar Team. Honorable third the OG Generation team won the place. In the EA Sports FC final the 2024 winner is a player named Maysam Amiri. Second and Mekan Nazarov and Zekeriya Ertekov took third place respectively.
Winners of prizes were awarded certificates and valuable present. The large-scale tournament showed an increase in interest in eSports among people of different ages. The main task of such events is popularization of e-sports as a full-fledged sport, as well as training high-class athletes in order to strengthen positions of Turkmen cybersportsmen in international competitions in The International (Dota 2) and Major (Counter-Strike 2).
The tournament clearly demonstrated the rapid development of e-sports in the country - high-tech sports, which today are continuously integrated into all areas of our life activity and are inextricably linked with it.
It is no coincidence that the event is dedicated to the first anniversary of the city Arkadag, which will be celebrated in the country on June 29.
