These days, various institutions and enterprises of the city of Arkadag are preparing to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of the country’s «smart» city, which was first awarded the status of «city of national importance». A round table meeting held the other day in the state archives of the city of Arkadag was devoted to the upcoming significant event this month.

The meeting participants talked about the features of the city, which has all the conditions for study and comprehensive development of youth, a comfortable life and work for all residents. As it was emphasized, the implementation of the urban development project initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who constantly keeps the progress of large-scale work carried out here in the spotlight, is visible evidence of the success of the state policy of Turkmenistan, which has a pronounced social orientation and is focused on the comprehensive innovative development of the country, steady improving the level and quality of life of people.

Arkadag, located in the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag, is an example of a «smart» city, the life of which is integrated with advanced digital, information and communication and «green» technologies. At the round table, issues related to the activities of the state archive of the city of Arkadag, the work carried out by its employees were also discussed and their achievements were noted.
