The youth team of Turkmenistan (under 20) will play against the teams of Japan, Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar in the qualifying tournament of the 2025 Asian Cup in football. These are the results of the draw held today at the House of the Asian Football Confederation in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
45 teams will compete in the qualification, divided into 10 groups.
Turkmenistan and its rivals formed Group «I», the matches in which will be held in one round from 25th to 29th of September in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic).
The Turkmen football players will start the qualification on the 25th of September with a match against Japan. On the 27th of September, they will play their peers from the Kyrgyz Republic. And they will finish their performance in the qualifying tournament on the 29th of September with a game against the Myanmar team.

«E»: Tajikistan (host), Oman, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, DPRK.
«F»: Indonesia (host), Yemen, East Timor, Maldives.
«G»: Iran, Mongolia, India, Laos (host).
«H»: Iraq, Thailand (host), Philippines, Brunei.
«J»: Jordan, Qatar (host), Singapore, Hong Kong.
The group winners and the five best runners-up will advance to the finals of the Asian U20 Cup, which will be held in China from 6th to 23rd of February 2025.
The 24th edition of the 24-team World U20 Championship will be held in Chile in 2025. The country previously hosted the finals in 1987.
