A training seminar on sustainable pasture management and specially protected natural areas was held in the Danev etrap, located in Seydi of Lebap velayat.

The seminar was organized within the framework of the project "Conservation and Sustainable Management of Land Resources and High Nature Value Ecosystems in the Aral Sea Basin for Multiple Benefits," which is being implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan jointly with the United Nations Development Program with financial support from the Global Environment Facility.

It aimed to enhance the theoretical knowledge and improve the practical skills of local specialists and private sector representatives in the field of pasture animal husbandry. Participants familiarized themselves with the legal framework regulating the management of specially protected areas in Turkmenistan, innovative methods for assessing pastures to improve the condition of pasture ecosystems.

Pastures play a crucial role in climate change mitigation. Additionally, pastures contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, soil stabilization, and water cycle regulation, further enhancing their impact on climate change mitigation.
