Specialists from the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, involved in planning and implementing TB care, attended special courses in Minsk.

The training took place at the WHO center for the introduction of new drugs and regimens for the treatment of MDR/XDR-TB at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pulmonology and Phthisiology.

The training program included key aspects of the tuberculosis control program, considering modern medical science achievements and new approaches to the detection, treatment, and prevention of tuberculosis according to new WHO recommendations. As a result, participants gained knowledge in planning, implementing and monitoring TB services.
