A meeting with a delegation of the International Trade Centre consisting of Adelina Harunjen and Alexey Bondarenko was held at the Central Office of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of the project to simplify customs procedures. The joint project of the European Union and the International Trade Centre «Turkmenistan: Sustainability of Trade and Integration» was launched at the beginning of this year. The project is designed to support Turkmenistan in the process of joining the World Trade Organization.

The parties discussed issues such as digitalization of customs procedures, organization of trainings and seminars, trips abroad to study the risk management system, as well as the implementation of an electronic queue management system.

The visit of the delegation of the International Trade Centre also includes a three-day training for civil servants on the WTO agreement on trade facilitation and the concept of the National Committee on Trade Facilitation.
