Ashgabat hosted the Culture Days of Tajikistan

Ashgabat hosted the Culture Days of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan. The creative event is organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan jointly with the Tajik colleagues.

A delegation of culture and art workers of the friendly country: heads and specialists of the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan, poets and writers, stage directors, painters, folk singers and musicians, representatives of opera, theatre, choreographic arts, journalists, heads of creative schools arrived in Ashgabat.


Opening of Culture Days of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan took place at the Mukam’s Palace of the State Cultural Center, which brought together leaders of the sector, representatives of diplomatic missions, accredited to Turkmenistan, mass media, creative intelligentsia and the youth.

Head of the Tajik delegation – Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Zevar Davlatzoda greeted the forum’s participants and guests, emphasizing the importance of action in strengthening the friendship, mutual enrichment of cultures of the two brotherly peoples, extending of bilateral humanitarian dialogue. The campaign participants expressed appreciation to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and President Emomali Rahmon for the policy of peace, cooperation, comprehensive development of culture and art.

It was held a concert of the Tajik artists. “Tanovar” song, performed by girls of the band of the State Philharmonic Society of Tajikistan named after Akasharif Juraev, opened the creative evening.

Then, onstage of the Mukam’s Palace, there was a colorful presentation. The concert program consisted of folk music and dance, works from the Treasury-house of world music culture, pop songs and hot dance songs, performed by the Tajik artists and creative teams.


By applause, the audience appraised the impressive performances of Tajik dancers from the famous dance ensemble of the Tajik State Philharmonic Society named after Akasharif Juraev.

Musical evening was adorned by performance of Laureate of international competitions, soloist of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Sadriddin Aini, Sharofat Usmonova who executed a rousing aria from the Opera “Carmen” (Georges Bizet).

Lied about love was sounded in Tajik and French, performed by the honored artist of the Republic of Tajikistan, Laureate of international competitions Parvin Yusufi. Soloists of “Daryo” ensemble of the Committee on television and broadcasting under the government of the Republic of Tajikistan narrated the glory of the homeland nature and its capital Dushanbe in their vocal gifts to Turkmen people.


Artists of the famous ensemble “Shashmaqom” demonstrated mastery of folk songs. It is noteworthy that Tajikistan widely celebrates Shashmaqom Day, accompanied by colorful programs of masters and fans of this classical vocal-instrumental art, revived in our days.

Creative evening continued with folk compositions and performances of musicians, brilliantly demonstrated the capability of old instruments – doira, gijak and karnai.

Spectators were enthralled by the magnificent performance of “Mavrigi” by “Sadoi Poytaht” group of the State Philharmonic Society of Tajikistan.


Song “Hayrana galar”, performed by our guests in the Turkmen language, created by outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov, rhyme by lyric poet Mollanepes was met by the audience with special warmth.

Yesterday the official delegation of Tajikistan was received in the Ministry of Culture, where they discussed issues of further cooperation between the two countries in various areas of this sector.

The program of Culture Days is very diverse and allows to get an idea about the achievements and development trends of the Tajik culture and art. Tomorrow in the morning, the Museum of fine arts will host the opening of exhibition, the exposition of which will include approximately forty paintings of Tajik artists. Photo vernissage “Modern Tajikistan” will tell about modern day of the friendly country. Here, the publishing products will be presented and it will be a fashion show of modern and traditional national dress.


In the framework of the Culture Days of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan, the “Ashgabat” Cinema Center will demonstrate feature films and documentaries to amateurs of the cinema. In the “Turkmenistan” Cinema Center, there will be held performances of artists of the friendly country.

On June16, Ashgabat citizens and guests of the Turkmen capital will be invited to the Mukam’s Palace of the State Cultural Center for the action’s closing ceremony and a gala concert of masters of culture and art of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.


A large cultural program is prepared for the Tajik guests, which includes acquaintance with the Turkmen capital’s sights, the unique exhibits of Ashgabat museums.
