Agricultural production is increasing in Balkan region

Farmers of Balkan velayat plan to harvest 52,400 tons of melons from 2,620 hectares this year. Currently, the harvest of melons and watermelons is in full swing in the velayat's fields. Through their tireless efforts, workers of daykhan associations and private farms of the region make a significant contribution to ensuring food abundance in the country.

Gardeners are also keeping pace. While pomegranates, figs and walnuts are the main fruit crops in Magtymguly etrap, Etrek etrap achieves good results in olive cultivation year after year. Farmers of Gyzylarbat and Bereket etraps are considered true masters in producing melon varieties such as "vakharman", "gyzyldepe", "gulyabi", "garrygyz" and "akmaral". Their products are in high demand not only in the velayat but also in other regions of the country.

The main goal of Balkan velayat farmers is to ensure food abundance and supply their products at affordable prices to the country's markets.
