Preparations are beginning in Turkmenistan for the next session of the Halk Maslahaty, which, in accordance with the recently adopted resolution of the Presidium of the highest representative body of the people's interests, will be held on the 24th of September in Ashgabat.
The purpose of the national forum is to ensure broad participation of representatives of the people in solving important issues of state and public life, strengthening the unity and cohesion of society, and further developing national democracy. During the meeting, topical issues of the socio-economic and political development of the country will be discussed, and priority tasks in the implementation of long-term strategic programs for the development of Turkmenistan will be identified.
All this, as well as the role of youth in ensuring the country's further progress, was discussed at the event entitled «Halk Maslahaty - kämil geljegi gurmagyň möhüm ýoly», organized jointly by the Arkadag city administration and the Arkadag city council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly of Turkmenistan. Young people working in institutions and enterprises of the city of Arkadag took part in it.
Speakers at the meeting noted the importance of the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which will take place on the eve of the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence and will become another evidence of commitment to the original national principles of democracy, based on the centuries-old experience of glorious ancestors in governing the state. Particular attention was paid to the role and tasks of young people in preparing and holding the national forum, in implementing the fateful decisions made at it.
