This model is based on multilateral balance of interests of producers, transporters and consumers of energy resources, on mutual opinions and views on global structure of energy security, perception of long-term goals and prospects of cooperation.
Speaking with important initiatives, Turkmenistan takes effective measures for their implementation. In 2017, Turkmenistan as a Chairman of the Energy Charter steadily stands up its position that international transit of energy carriers has to be carried out on equal fair basis and to be economically and commercially proven. The Global Sustainable Transport Conference in Ashgabat on November 26 – 27, 2016 gave string impulse to the development of international cooperation in this sphere. Main provisions of the UN Special Programme of Transport Development stipulating the development of transit and transport capabilities on Eurasian continent were discussed within its framework.
Following national interests and harmonically merging into universal standards of international law, foreign policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov provides Turkmenistan with deserving place in the Nations Community now and in the future.
