The State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports and the Representative Office of the United Nations Population Fund in Turkmenistan are organizing a joint event dedicated to the International Youth Day 2024. The event will focus on issues related to youth and will become a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing topical topics.
The purpose of the meeting is to raise awareness among stakeholders about the role of youth in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, promote the use of digital technologies for the benefit of society, as well as to develop young people's understanding of the importance of gender equality, equal opportunities in the digital sphere, and encourage young people to actively engage in physical education and sports.
The organizers invite all interested parties to this event, which will be held in the conference hall of the «Arkach» Business Centre in Ashgabat on the 12th of August. International Youth Day is an annual holiday celebrated on the 12th of August in order to recognize the important and constructive contribution of youth to global efforts to promote peace and security and its role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals. In accordance with the recommendation of the UN General Assembly, various events are held on this Day to inform the public about the World Programme of Action for Youth, approved by the General Assembly in 1996.
