A delegation of Turkmen media specialists arrived in Astrahan to participate in the IX Caspian Media Forum, which will be held on the 16th to 17th of August. On the first day, there will be a meeting of the heads of delegations of the countries participating in the media forum, representing Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, as well as Belarus and Uzbekistan.
On the main day of the event, on the 17th of August, a plenary session and five thematic sessions are planned, at which participants will discuss the development of digital technologies in art and media, the new life of traditional art and cinema as a universal language of communication, as well as examples of cultural and historical unity in the Eurasian space. A master class on «Investigative Journalism» and a meeting of representatives of news agencies of the Caspian countries are also planned.
The forum will traditionally host a ceremony to announce the results of the competition for the best journalistic work «The Caspian without Borders». The event will be followed by the cultural festival «Caspian Seasons», where the combined symphony orchestra of the Caspian states will perform, which includes musicians from Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.
