International connections of youth expand

From August 16 to 19, 2024, a delegation of Turkmen youth, including representatives from the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and three universities, participated in the Baikal Youth Forum. The forum, themed "Sustainable Development Goals," was held on the shores of Lake Baikal in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia, with 300 young participants from seven Russian regions and 13 countries.

Participants included leaders and activists of youth public organizations, young government and municipal employees, students, creative professionals and entrepreneurs. The Baikal Forum aimed to foster a community of active and talented youth, involve them in addressing state youth policy issues, strengthen international youth team connections for joint projects, and develop competencies for success in various fields.

The 2024 Baikal Forum program was rich with interactions with renowned individuals, experience exchanges, new acquaintances and project development. For three days, international youth teams worked at five platforms focusing on patriotism, volunteering, culture and arts, media and management.

They also attended seminars, training sessions, business games and master classes with leading federal and regional experts in state youth policy, intercultural communications and meetings with opinion leaders.
