On September 2, 2024, Digital Learning Week 2024 started at UNESCO headquarters in Paris under the motto « Steering Technology for Education». The opening ceremony was attended by a speech by UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Stefania Giannini, and a video message from Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union.

As part of the Digital Learning Week 2024, a round table was held at the level of education ministers, where issues of integrating artificial intelligence into education to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals were discussed.

At the event, the delegation of Turkmenistan was represented by the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO M.Charyev and the Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan G. Gurdova.
