Road safety events take place in Turkmenistan

These days, educational activities are being conducted at all enterprises, organizations, preschools and educational institutions as part of the "Road Safety – Peace of Our Lives" month. Special attention is given to working with the younger generation, as children remain the most vulnerable group in road traffic incidents.

Therefore, one of the key tasks of adults is to teach children strict adherence to traffic rules. Educational institutions, from kindergartens to schools, play a significant role in developing safe road behavior skills in the younger generation.

For example, a thematic event on observing traffic rules was held at the Children's Driving School under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, in collaboration with the Ministries of Education and Health, and the Magtymguly Youth Organization.

In the driving school's computer lab, interactive and practical classes were organized for schoolchildren to familiarize them with road signs and traffic rules. Participants also visited a museum to learn about its exhibits.

The International Training and Research Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with healthcare workers, representatives of the Police Road Supervision Service, public organizations, the Ministry of Education, the National Red Crescent Society, and the World Health Organization.

Participants discussed measures taken in the field of road safety and the effectiveness of the annual campaign aimed at reducing the number of road traffic incidents.

Educational activities for the prevention and avoidance of accidents will continue until September 30 this year. The campaign includes seminars and lectures aimed at raising public awareness about safe road behavior.
