President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited border guard outpost ocated in the southern part of the capital. Review of modern combat equipment was organized there. The Head of the State familiarized himself with advanced military equipment received to military divisions and expressed the interest in their technical specifications.
Having said that the Government would continue to keep in the centre of attention the consolidation of equipment and facilities base of the National Army and provision of it with modern equipment, the Head of the State requested to improve professional level of military staff and to train qualified personnel.
Having taken of the samples of the weapons presented there, the Head of the State demonstrated the accuracy hitting the target what indicated high level of his military training.
After, President gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demonstrated his skills shooting the targets with handgun. The Supreme Commander demonstrated his ability of skilful handlig of cold steel by precise throws, which hit far stand target.
After, the President of Turkmenistan arrived to the place of military training camp Turgen 2017 and gave a start to it.
Personnel and subdivisions of military and law enforcement special forces were alerted and mobilized for interception and neutralization of armed groups, which broke through the State border. “Da-42” aircraft, which stands on military duty of the State Border Guard Service of Turkmenistan, was called to find the enemy and to gather necessary information. The aircraft made reconnaissance flight in frontier zone.
According to the main tasks of current training, artillery shells D-30 were used to destroy armed group. As the result, the enemy received severe damages and the attack was stopped.
At the same time, two helicopters “Augusta – 109” of the State Border Guard Service of Turkmenistan were mobilized to destroy armoured vehicles of the enemy and elimination of the troops of opposing force. They made accurate launch by air rockets on enemy groups.
Divisions of military and law enforcement special forces, having started the move on armoured vehicles from their locations, started encirclement and full elimination of remained illegal armed units.
Modern military equipment and armoured transport used during ,military operation is strong, mobile with high off-road capability; it is efficiently used for protection of the State border in different terrains of our country.
Supported by unmanned aviation vehicles, the transport moving along detour roads detected illegal armed group of 10 – 15 people who broke through the State border and were moving to the nearby settlement.
Special forces detachments on H1MP vehicles started to deploy from the left flank of the command centre. They are supported by snipers who, having taken good positions, opened fire on armed group of the enemy.
According to the programme of training exercise Turgen 2017, military personnel demonstrated their ability and professional skills in elimination of illegal military formations. Special forces detachments of military and law enforcement agencies of the country distinguished themselves by coordinated actions and again showed the ability of counteracting any violators of the border.
Special fire fighting helicopter Mi-8 of the General Department of Civil Defence and Salvation of the Ministry of Defence extinguished the sources of fire ignition. Water intake of the helicopter is designed for filling the water from open water pools or reservoirs for fire fighting in mountains, forests and areas with difficult access.
After, the passage over the obstacle course by Turkmen alabay was demonstrated during training exercises. Service dogs of border guard troops are grown in special canine centre. They play an important role in operative detection of the border tresspasers.
After training exercises, the Head of the State made special mention that military reforms aimed at consolidation of the foundations of peace and provision of prosperity of people, have to be successfully implemented.
