The seventh Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia took place in St. Petersburg. The event was notable for its vibrant exhibition and a rich business program that included thematic round tables, presentations, roadshows, a scientific-practical seminar, and business sessions.

Representatives of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov participated in the forum from the Turkmen side. The business program "Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia 2024" included a round table of the international scientific-educational forum "International Cooperation Efforts to Promote Education and Research Projects in the Fishery Industry", where S. Annamuhammedov, head of the Department of Animal Husbandry at TAU, delivered a report.

Speeches were also heard from the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy of the Republic of Guinea and representatives of Russian universities. As explained by the head of the department at TAU, after the speeches, there was an exchange of views on measures being taken to develop fisheries.

During the exchange of views, leaders from Astrakhan State Technical University and its branch in Tashkent Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed their intention to actively cooperate with the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov.

The exhibition demonstrated the development of Russia's fishery industry—from catching and processing to finished products, specialized industry equipment, shipbuilding and repair.

"This event became an open dialogue for universities that want to establish and expand connections in implementing scientific projects. The roundtable and the forum became a platform for creating a new model of international scientific and educational cooperation in training personnel for the fishery complex," concluded S. Annamukhammedov at the forum.
