From 5th of October to 22nd of December a working trip to the Japanese University of Tsukuba was organized for teachers of the Engineering and Technology University named after Oguzhan of Turkmenistan. The visit of the Turkmen delegation to the Japanese university is taking place within the framework of the third stage of the training course «Improving the Methodology of Teaching Engineering Disciplines», organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The purpose of the trip is to become familiar with the experience of a Japanese university in the field of engineering education, the development and improvement of curricula and programs, scientific research in relevant areas, as well as joint research work based on the university's laboratories and the study of the stages of introducing advanced technologies into production.

These days, teachers from University named after Oguzhan, under the guidance of professors from the University of Tsukuba, are improving their professional skills in scientific research work.

Thus, under the supervision of Professor Ono Masaki, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages in Technical Directions Lachyn Gurdova is engaged in research in the field of humanities and social sciences. Lecturers of the Department of Nano- and Biomedical Electronics and the Department of Chemical Engineering Mekan Toyjanov and Enejan Dovranova, led by Professor Takeaki Sakurai, conduct research in the laboratory of semiconductor materials production. Lecturer of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology Mlahrijemal Annamyradova conducts scientific work in the laboratory of food engineering under the supervision of Professor Marcos Neves.

It should be noted that the Japanese university closely and fruitfully cooperates with higher education institutions of Turkmenistan. The University of Tsukuba is located in the city of the same name in Japan, its history is about 130 years old. The university is one of the nine leading national universities and is recognized by the Japanese government as one of the best within the framework of the Top Global University Project. The university has accumulated colossal experience in the field of scientific research and training of high-class specialists in the areas of fundamental sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics, medicine and related interdisciplinary fields.
