On the eve of the upcoming Turkmen Alabai Day on Sunday, cultural institutions are holding various events that shows the ancient origin and remarkable features of this dog, which has been a helper and protector for Turkmens since ancient times. So, the creativity department of the Ministry of Culture with the State Library of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, organized a round table meeting entitled "Türkmen alabaýy-edermenligiň we merdanalygyň nusgasy."

Specialists of the Ministry of Culture, library staff and teachers of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov attended at this event. They said that Turkmen Alabai is a national treasure. All conditions are created in our country to save and give a knowledge about alabais to our future generation.

Speakers noted such qualities of alabai like intelligence, endurance, dedication, faithfulness to the owner and family. In honor of the Day of Turkmen Alabai, workers of the Bazar Amanov State Children's Library with journalists of the Ashgabat TV channel, organized a meeting with young readers at the “Arkaç” cultural and entertainment center.

At the event called "Wepalylygyň we mertligiň nusgasy," children learned interesting information and historical facts contained in the book of the National Leader of the Turkmen nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Türkmen alabaýy," also they learned about the uniqueness of this ancient breed of dog, which is distinguished by sensitivity, ingenuity, fearlessness and boundless devotion to man. As it was emphasized, comprehensive work is being carried out in Turkmenistan to preserve and breed Alabai, as well as to spread their fame in the world.
