The news that famous Indian dance group Achutamanasa was going to come to Turkmenistan has quickly spread around the lovers of oriental choreography. The connoisseurs of the dance philosophy were awaiting for the concert impatiently looking forward the meeting with high skill performance of kuchipudi.

Achuta Manasa is a famous dancer who has Master Degree of Arts in Kuchipudi. She performed more than 1000 times at Indian and foreign stages and always had the success. The concert, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Independence of India, was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Republic of India.

People in our country have good feelings to friendly Indian nation and highly appreciate its cultural traditions. That is why the performance of Achutamanasa at the stage of Magtumguly Music and Drama Theatre was at full house.

The dances of Achutamanasa looked more likely mini choreographic stage plays. The first of dances spoke of mythological history about Durgu the Goddess who fought the demon to liberate the people from the suffering via expressive and emotionally rich plastic of performer.

The visitors watched with the great interest the performance of talented dancer expressing their delight by loud applauses. The second performance was the history of liberation fight of Shiva the God.

Kuchipudi dance reveals the essence of not only mythological histories but also brings up current issues of modern society. This is exactly what the third dance of the concert programme, which calls for humanity, was about.
