A concert organized by the Chamber Ensemble Department took place in the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kuliyeva, featuring works by three Russian composers: Mikhail Glinka, Modest Mussorgsky and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

The choice of composers was dictated by three anniversaries celebrated by the global cultural community this year. It has been 220 years since the birth of Mikhail Glinka, 185 years since Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky, and 180 years since Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov.

The audience was presented with a diverse program that included the most popular works of these famous composers. Glinka was represented by the "Trio pathétique", which reflects the power, solemnity and patriotism of his vision of his homeland. This piece was performed with inspiration by Stella Faramazova (piano), Bayram Dolyev (clarinet) and Myrat Annamyradov (bassoon).

The concert program also included Glinka's lyrical works. Two romances by the composer, "Do Not Tempt Me" and "The Lark," were performed by Begench Moshiev in a duet with Bahar Durdyeva and Leyli Okdirova.

The audience received these and other compositions of Glinka, the founder of Russian classical music, with great interest. Following this, two very interesting pieces by Modest Mussorgsky from the cycle "Pictures at an Exhibition" were performed on piano by Merjen Amanova. People's Artist of Turkmenistan Gulnar Nuryyeva performed the song "Dumka Parasi" conveying the colorfulness of folk vocal art.

The famous fragment "Flight of the Bumblebee" from Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" was virtuously performed on flute by Sokhbet Ergeshev, eliciting prolonged applause from the audience. Leyli Okdirova performed the aria of the Swan Princess from this opera.

The performance by Aibolek Mukhiyeva, who brilliantly played the Arabic dance from Rimsky-Korsakov's suite "Scheherazade" on violin, was long remembered by listeners.

The concert came to an end, leaving listeners with pleasant emotions from engaging with the works of three composers who contributed to the world's musical heritage.

The accompanist for the evening was Stella Faramazova, a laureate of international competitions.
