In the year marking the 300th anniversary of the great classical poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, numerous collections of his works have been published in foreign languages both in Turkmenistan and abroad. One of the recent book releases is the poetry collection "Magtymguly Pyragy Saýlanan eserler," which includes over 270 poems translated into Persian.

The selection is based on a compilation of the poet's works included in a gift book titled "Magtymguly," prepared by the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. This book was recently published in Turkmen, English and Russian. The Persian collection opens with statements by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the significance of Magtymguly Fragi's creative legacy for national and world culture, along with a well-known poem by Hero-Arkadag titled "Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy."

The book was prepared for publication by scholars with the involvement of Iranian specialists. Its editors are Davut Orazsakhedov, a Candidate of Philological Sciences and director of the Magtymguly Institute, and Iranian literary scholar Sobhan Salariniya. Rahmanberdi Godarov, a Candidate of Philological Sciences, served as a scientific consultant. The poems were translated into Persian by Guychmyrat Chanliyev and Aymyrat Kuliyev. The 449-page Persian edition of "Magtymguly Pyragy Saýlanan eserler" was published by "Ylym" with a print run of 500 copies.
