The 300th anniversary of the Turkmen classic poet Magtymguly Fragi is being widely celebrated worldwide. The Public Chamber of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, which advocates for peaceful and constructive development of states and regions based on principles of mutual respect, constructive cooperation, justice, high spiritual and moral values, has joined in honoring and popularizing the creative legacy of this great son of the Turkmen people.

According to this public organization, the significance of Magtymguly's poetic heritage for world literature is hard to overestimate. His thoughts, ideas and rhymes have been translated into dozens of languages worldwide. Magtymguly is an example of an extraordinary talent of international scale, transcending time and space. In this context, it was noted that Magtymguly’s name is one of the key topics in the international educational course "Person of the World," dedicated to the geniuses of our planet. The information resource of the EAEU Public Chamber published several fragments from the poetic play "Father's Legacies," created especially for the anniversary of the great poet and thinker by Anastasia Valeryevna Pavlova, a long-time friend of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairman of the EAEU Public Chamber for International Cooperation, and author of the educational project "Geniuses of the World." Pavlova is an international expert in developing cultural, tourist and educational projects and promoting cultural diplomacy.

The play focuses on the mentoring role of Magtymguly's father, Dowletmammet Azadi, an exceptionally enlightened and educated man of his time who instilled in his gifted son a love for travel and a passion for enlightenment. Respect and reverence for his father, who collected a brilliant library with amazing book folios in Persian and Arabic, influenced all of Magtymguly's work and helped give birth to a symbol of Turkmen enlightenment in a literal sense. According to Pavlova, the theme of paternal upbringing was particularly important to her, leading her to study Magtymguly's family history to learn more about the poet's family. "The Public Chamber of EAEU countries and the Children's Public Chamber BRICS, SCO, EAEU, CIS have made cultural and educational vectors one of their main areas of work, with Magtymguly's name serving as an essential cultural reference point," noted A.V. Pavlova.

Currently, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia, with support from the CIS Executive Committee and Moscow State Linguistic University—the base organization for languages and culture of CIS member states—is preparing for the premiere screening of the documentary educational film-essay "Geniuses of the World. Turkmenistan. Father's Legacies," based on Pavlova's poetic play. The film's director is Nadezhda Gerashchenko, chief coordinator of the "Geniuses of the World" project. The premiere will take place on December 5 this year in the assembly hall of Moscow State Linguistic University.

This new project will continue a series of events honoring the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi held this year in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Astrakhan, Voronezh and other Russian cities.
