Cooperation documents were signed at the Turkmen-Chinese scientific and innovation forum

On the 27th of November, the second day of the III Turkmen-Chinese scientific and innovative forum «Innovations, new technologies and issues of their implementation in production» was held in Ashgabat.

Eight round tables were held at the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, where experts discussed key areas of cooperation in the field of science and technology.

Many specialists from the two countries took part in the discussion of topical issues such as chemical and technological innovations, processing of natural raw materials, nanotechnology, development of new materials, biotechnology, agriculture, seismology, information and telecommunication systems, computer technology, energy-saving technologies and alternative energy sources, as well as advanced achievements in medicine and pharmacology.

Following the forum, the Protocol of the 2nd meeting of the subcommittee on scientific and technical cooperation of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Chinese Committee on Cooperation was signed. The document reflects the intentions of the parties to develop scientific cooperation based on a number of bilateral documents, in particular:

1. Memorandum of Understanding between the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the International Centre for Scientific and Technical Exchange of Hubei Province of the People's Republic of China on the establishment of the Turkmen-Chinese Centre for Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

2. Memorandum of Understanding between the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

3. Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Tianjin University of Science and Technology of China.

4. Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan named after Oguzhan and the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

5. Agreement on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Seismology of the Earthquake Administration of China.

In this way, the Turkmen-Chinese scientific and innovation forum has become an important platform for exchanging experience and knowledge. The signed documents represent an important step towards deepening cooperation in the field of science and technology, as well as implementing joint innovation projects and promoting scientific research in both countries.
