The «Arkadag» football players made a strong bid to reach the final of the 2024 Turkmenistan Cup, defeating Balkanabat's «Nebitchi» in the first semi-final match – 7:2.

The game took place in Balkanabat at the «Sport Toplumy» stadium.

Begench Akmammedov scored four goals for the visiting team, scoring four in the 2nd, 53rd, 73rd and 75th minutes, while Shanazar Tirkishov (19th), Nazar Tovakilova (46th) and Yhlas Saparmammedov (60th – penalty) scored one each. Myrat Yakshiyev (48th) and Hydyr Agoyliev (71st) scored for the hosts.

For almost the entire match, «Nebitchi» fought against the current champion of Turkmenistan with a man down due to the removal of Arslangylych Nyyazgylyjov in the 9th minute.

The return match will be held on the field of «Arkadag», which this year became the champion of Turkmenistan for the second year in a row and won the country's Super Cup. And now it has made a confident step towards the final in the fight for the second most important national club trophy - the Turkmenistan Cup.

Let us remind that the football club «Arkadag», which forms the backbone of the national team of Turkmenistan, was formed in 2023. It represents the eponymous «smart» city of national importance.

The fate of the second finalist of the 2024 Turkmenistan Cup will be decided based on the results of two matches between «Ahal» and «Altyn Asyr».
