The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held the IV selection game of the IV season of the intellectual competition «Young Messengers of Peace» among high school students of Turkmenistan, conducted by the University and the School of Young Diplomats.

It’s worth reminding that the IV season of the 2025-2026 academic year competition is held under the general motto "Peacemaking diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan is a reliable tool for effective cooperation and sustainable development" in connection with the proclamation of 2025 by the initiative of Turkmenistan as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" on the basis of a special Resolution of the UN General Assembly. Based on this, all the games of the current season are devoted to themes consonant with its general slogan.

Thus, the fourth game of the season was held on the theme «Cultural diplomacy of Turkmenistan: uniting the force of national and human heritage in action».

According to tradition, eight players took part in the new game, which included students from grades 11-12 of secondary schools in Ashgabat, Arkadag, Balkan, Mary, Dashoguz and Lebap velayats.

Difficult questions and tasks were prepared for the participants of the career-oriented project, who show a special interest in the fields of politics, diplomacy, and international relations.

The performances of the young messengers of peace were evaluated by senior lecturers of the Department of International Economic Relations Perkhat Chariev and the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Begench Karaev, and a senior lecturer of the Department of Social Studies of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture Guljeren Karaeva.

Following the results of the intense game, Gulshat Meredova, a student of the 12th grade of secondary specialized school No. 90 with advanced study of foreign languages in Ashgabat, and Jemal Hallieva, a student of the 11th grade of secondary school No. 4 with advanced study of English in Arkadag city, were named the winners. These students were included in the semi-finalist team of the IV season, which will be fully formed based on the results of eight qualifying games.

The winners and all participants received honorary certificates from the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and gifts from the sponsors of the event - the Central Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan.

Additionally, numerous TV viewers who closely follow the course of events of the project, will be able to watch the broadcast of the game on national channel “Miras” in the days ahead.
