As part of the events in Ashgabat dedicated to the Day of Italian Design, a representative of the Italian interior design company Modenese Gastone Interiors Srl Leandro Scalko gave a lecture for students of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The main topic of the meeting was Italian design. The guest told the university students about his professional activities and work experience.
In the continuation of the lecture, Leandro Scalco presented video materials about his design work to the students, shared the subtleties of design skills and paid attention to the topic.

As part of the event, the institute also hosted a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Turkmenistan Luigi Ferrari and representatives of the Embassy, during which issues of cooperation in the field of science and education were discussed.
On the occasion of the visit of foreign guests to the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, an exhibition of research and design works carried out by university teachers and students was organized. Among the exhibition the materials were presented with sketches prepared by the teachers of the Institute as proposals for the construction of a new building complex of the Turkmen State Architectural and Civil Engineering Institute in Ashgabat. It was noted that the construction of the student campus is proceeding at a high pace, and its opening is expected in September next year.
Representatives of the Turkmen university told the guests about conducting scientific research at the institute aimed at solving urgent production tasks in priority areas for the country, such as ecology and rational use of natural resources, energy, chemical technologies and competitive production of new products, construction, architecture, seismics, information and digital technologies. It was emphasized that in order to effectively integrate science, education and production, a scientific and technical IT center was established at the institute in October 2024. Several modern design works of teachers and students have been successfully implemented in practice.
It should be added that the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering actively and fruitfully cooperates with such prestigious universities in Italy as the University of Ca Foscari in Venice and the Polytechnic University of Milan within the framework of bilateral cooperation agreements between higher education institutions schools in the field of science and education.
