A meeting was held in Ashgabat between representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and a delegation from the Nottingham Trent University (UK).
The discussion focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in higher education, in particular improving English language teaching, teacher training programs and academic exchanges.
The meeting was held within the framework of the Grant Bilateral Cooperation Program of the British University and the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi, in which representatives from the the Nottingham Trent University conducted advanced training courses for Turkmen teachers. The main goal of this initiative is to improve the quality of English language teaching, strengthen academic cooperation and introduce innovative teaching methods.
During the conversation, the parties emphasized the importance of strengthening academic cooperation, developing joint research projects and introducing digital educational tools. Particular attention was paid to holding master classes and seminars for English teachers aimed at improving teaching methods, introducing innovative technologies into the educational process and expanding opportunities for student and teacher exchanges that will contribute to cultural and academic development.
The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan expressed support for the initiatives under consideration to improve the qualifications of teachers and modernize the teaching of English. In this regard, the expertise and experience of the Nottingham Trent University in the field of curriculum development and digital education were highly valued. The parties mutually emphasized the need to create joint educational programs and implement innovative teaching methods.
Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Nottingham Trent University expressed confidence in the successful implementation of joint initiatives and readiness to continue cooperation in the coming years.
The meeting marked another important step in expanding international academic ties and reflected Turkmenistan’s commitment to strengthening its higher education system through international partnership.
