The TV channel "Türkmenistan Sport," the "Mahabat" Directorate of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports have announced the start of a project called "Athlete of the Month."  

As part of the project, an SMS voting system titled "Athlete of the Month" is being introduced in Turkmenistan. The names of the competition participants—the best young athletes in the country—will be announced at the beginning of each month, and at the end of the month, the voting results will be summarized.  

To familiarize Turkmen citizens with the candidates for the title "Athlete of the Month," as well as with the rules and progress of the competition, a themed TV show will be broadcast on "Türkmenistan Sport." The show will be hosted by Parakhat Mammetnurov, a student from the Faculty of Sports Journalism at the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports. The editor of the program will be Gulendam Berdiyeva.  

Throughout the month, viewers will be shown video clips about each athlete, their daily training routines, performances in international competitions, and achievements.  

For the first SMS voting round, the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports has nominated seven athletes from its university who have achieved outstanding results in international competitions across seven sports: Turkmen national wrestling, belt wrestling, weightlifting, judo, Kyokushin karate, chess, and kurash.

Each athlete has been assigned a special digital code: Shahzadbek Matyakubov – 7; Sabina Kadyrova – 8; Nurmuhammet Baydogdyev – 9; Guvanch Hemrayev – 10; Maysa Pardayeva – 11; Amanmuhammet Hommadov – 12; Gulnabat Yazylova – 13.  

To vote for one of them, it is enough to send their corresponding digital code to number 0518. The voting results will be available on turkmentv.gov.tm. The participant who receives the highest number of SMS votes will be declared "Athlete of the Month." The winner will receive valuable prizes and honorary certificates. Additionally, a special television film about them will be produced.  

The organizers of the "Athlete of the Month" project invite all Turkmen citizens to actively participate in SMS voting and support our athletes.
