March 10 at the State Energy Institute Turkmenistan has launched the IV Open International Student Internet Olympiad in the discipline “Theoretical Mechanics”.

More than 700 students from 107 higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad are taking part in the international competition. Among them, 184 students from 22 universities represent our country, 517 students from 85 universities represent 17 foreign countries.

The Olympiad will last for 5 days, until March 15th. At the competition site, students will demonstrate their knowledge and abilities in individual and team competitions.

8 tasks in theoretical mechanics sections have been prepared for the participants of the individual Olympiad. Two of them belong to the sections Statics and Kinematics, and 4 more belong to the Dynamics section. The task takes 240 minutes to complete.

The participants of the team competition will have to solve 5 tasks in 60 minutes in the above-mentioned sections of theoretical mechanics.

The winners of the Olympiad will be announced by students who have scored according to the results of the competition, the highest number of points.

Within the framework of the Olympiad, it is planned to organize joint scientific discussions with the participation of professors, teachers and university students in order to exchange experience and knowledge, develop cooperation and strengthen friendly relations between higher schools of Turkmenistan and abroad.

The international Internet Olympiad demonstrates Turkmenistan's achievements in the field of digital education, the ability of young people to use innovative technologies, and promotes the effective use of educational technologies in the context of stable development of the national economy, identifying and supporting talented students.

It should be added that this Olympiad is one of the significant international events organized in Turkmenistan within the framework of Concepts of the State's activities and priorities in the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as on the occasion of the 30th anniversary the country's permanent neutrality and the 33rd anniversary of membership Turkmenistan in the UN.
