A large-scale exhibition is being held in the capital of Turkmenistan to mark the 17th anniversary of the formation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, showcasing the achievements and capabilities of the private sector in the national economy.
This year, about 130 private enterprises operating in various fields are participating in the exhibition. The preservation of unique traditions of national decorative and applied arts through support for entrepreneurial and creative initiatives is a task for domestic businesses, which are building potential on an innovative basis.
The exhibition featured magnificent silk and wool carpets with beautiful ornaments, handmade decorative carpets depicting unique natural landscapes, modern carpet canvases, decorative items, embroidery, fabrics, jewelry, ceramics, and souvenirs created by entrepreneurs, folk craftsmen, and young designers.
However, the fashion show with the participation of leading Turkmen and world fashion designers, which took place as part of the exhibition, attracted particular interest from guests and residents of the capital. It is the first time that Ashgabat, which is included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the "Design" category, hosts an international fashion show. Representatives of foreign media, including TV channels "Al Arabiya TV", "Al Dubai Arabiya TV", "Fashion TV", magazines "Vanity Fair", "Vogue", "MARIE CLAIRE ARABIA", "GRAZIA", "ELLE", and the newspaper "FASHION NETWORK", were involved in the event.
The fashion show, which took place at the "Toý mekany" in the capital, presented clothing models created by the Model House of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, as well as fashion houses "Mähirli Zenan", "Jennet tagty", "Mynasyp", "Nagyşly güzer", "Gölli", "Aina Sari", and "Aýperi", combining national traditions and modern design.
