A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in a regional workshop on the development of an initial training system for new employees conducting phytosanitary and veterinary border control , as well as for phytosanitary and veterinary services.
The workshop, organized by the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), was held in Astana from March 18 to 20.
Participants of the workshop familiarized themselves with the advanced practices of EU countries in training personnel for sanitary and phytosanitary services and studied training methodologies using modern educational tools.
Experts from Latvia shared insights into the specifics of organizing the educational process using innovative solutions such as e-learning, simulation-based training, and gamified methods.
As a result of the workshop, participants developed proposals and recommendations for the initial training of personnel conducting phytosanitary and veterinary control at the border, as well as for phytosanitary and veterinary services.
