From March 28 to 30, the "Russian Film Festival Turkmenistan 2025" is taking place in Ashgabat. The event is organized by ROSKINO with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Film screenings are held at the "Berkarar" cinema.

Russian auteur cinema is always popular among the audience in Turkmenistan. Therefore, the festival program, as in previous years, includes a decent selection of original paintings.

The program includes four new Russian films. This is the family fairy tale "Finist. The First Bogatyr", which has already entered the TOP-3 highest-grossing films of 2025 in Russian film distribution. Fantasy based on the eponymous work by Hans Christian Andersen "Tinderbox". The documentary adventure film "Fire Fox", as well as the animated film "The Big Journey. Around the World".

Turkmenistan became the first CIS country to host this large-scale film forum.
