Situation in Afghanistan was separate subject of Turkmen – Tajik negotiations. It was mentioned in this context that regulation of the situation in neighbouring country can be achieved only by peaceful political means based on all-nation dialog with participation of all responsible and constructive Afghan powers. Military and forced measures of solution of Afghanistan range of problems are non-productive and have no future. In this context, the Head of Turkmenistan spoke for wider implementation of peace-making potential of international community, first of all, the UN, in Afghanistan.

We stand for active international support to Afghan Government and efficient integration of this country to regional and global economic processes, especially in such important spheres as energy and transport, Turkmen leader said. At present moment, humanitarian component is necessary aspect in support of the people of Afghanistan. In this context, Turkmenistan is willing to cooperate closely with relevant international structures.

Continuing the subject and having noted that VII Conference of Regional and Economic Cooperation for Afghanistan (RECCA VII) is to be held in Ashgabat, the President of Turkmenistan expressed his hope for good outcome of coming forum and representative participation of Tajikistan delegation in its work.
