Japanese television reporters travels by Turkmenistan railroads
Group of Japanese television reporters of Telecom Staff Inc arrived from Uzbekistan and started work in Turkmenistan in the end of October. Previously, the group was working in Kazakhstan. The group is headed by Director Horosave Tesuma. The goal of the trip around three Central Asian countries is to make a series of programmes under one name “The World from the Train Window” for popular TV channel “Asahi”. As is known, high-speed railway train is the main transportation for the most of the citizens in Japan. Informative programme that is mentioned above is very popular on TV for more than 30 years. More than 10 thousand journalist works from all the continents have been made and shown on TV for all this years. To achieve that, the colleagues from the Country of Rising Sun had to travel 800 thousand kilometres in total.

These days, the television group repeat its 13-year old route. Japanese reporters say that they were amazed by the rapidness of big changes happening in Turkmenistan. Lebap Velayat where most of the time was spent on shooting of modern railway bridge Turkmenabat – Farab across Amudarya River was the first on their way. As is known this grandiose engineering construction of 1750 meter length has been put into operation in March of this year. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of this bridge and another automobile transport corridor that was built down the stream.

The place for construction of the bridge has not been chosen occasionally after geodesic surveys. This is exactly the place where comfortable river crossing of many caravans took place on the old route of the great Silk Road.

Progressive piling technology was used during the construction of the bridge. The features of rough and changing its course Amudarya River was taken into account what stipulated massive works for fortification of the banks. Grandiose construction is able to withstand the weight of super heavy trains by use of reinforced structure not speaking of passenger trains and the earthquakes of 9 point by Richter scale.

All conditions for work like the crane for shooting of river view and passing train and open platform moving with small speed across the bridge has been made for Japanese journalists. In short, the group of TV reporters from friendly country made good video material for any foreign spectators. The colleagues expressed special gratitude to personnel of Lebap railway.

The guests visited local history museum in Turkmenabat where they familiarized with the history and traditions of the region. They were amazed by reconditioned plateau with dinosaurs footprints left 150 million years ago and stalactite caves in the south of the velayat.

The shooting was also made in the library of the velayat where Japanese journalists was introduced with new work by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan – The Heart of the Great Silk Road” published in Turkmen, English and Russian languages. By the way, the route of TV group from the Country of Rising Sun follows the way of ancient caravans.

The guest will travel only by train in our country. Mary Velayat is the next point of their destination.
