Turkmenistan citizens are participants in the International Painting Competition of TURKSOY

Young artists from Turkmenistan are invited to participate in the competition organized by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) titled "Traditional Children's Games of the Turkic World."

The event is being held to mark the announcement of Aktau, Kazakhstan, as the "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2025." The competition aims to support and develop creative youth within the Turkic world, foster interest in traditional and modern visual arts, and encourage creativity among young artists of the Turkic world.

Young artists, students and pupils from art departments of specialized schools and higher educational institutions aged 12 to 18 years old from TURKSOY member countries are eligible to participate. Each participant must depict traditional children's games specific to their own country. The names, rules, and storylines of traditional games for each country will be provided by the organizers. For Turkmenistan, these include: Aýterek – Günterek, Ogar-Ogar, Düzme, Ýaglyga towusmak, and Bukuldym.

Submissions will be accepted until April 30, 2025, via email at: tdcabest@gmail.com (State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan).

The criteria for evaluation by the international jury include originality and vibrancy of the work, quality and execution technique, creativity, artistry, and performance level. 

The results of the first round will be announced on May 15, 2025, on TURKSOY official website: www.turksoy.org. The results of the second round will be published on June 30, 2025, on the same website.

The award ceremony is planned to take place in Kazakhstan. The works of winners and finalists will be included in a catalog-album titled "Traditional Children's Games of the Turkic World." For more details about the competition rules and application process, please refer to this link.
