The IIR of the MFA of Turkmenistan is expanding international relations

As previously reported, during the working visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan, a solid package of documents on cooperation was signed, including a Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Nippon Foundation and the JACAFA Foundation.

The contacts of the employees of these funds with the Turkmen side began earlier. Earlier, the director of the Nippon Foundation, Yuji Mori, visited Ashgabat on a working visit. Then he had talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and visited the Institute of International Relations, where he was told in detail about the work of the institute departments, the research and educational centres operating in the institute and the experience of cooperation with foreign universities.

At the same time, the representatives of the parties put forward initiatives to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of education, and some proposals were considered within the framework of cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the partner of the Nippon Foundation - the JACAFA Foundation.

Japanese educational funds are already cooperating with universities in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. They assist the youth of the Central Asian region in obtaining and improving education in such promising areas as, for example, social sciences, computer engineering or IT engineering.

The logical result of previous meetings and conversations in Turkmenistan was the current signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, which was signed on behalf of the Turkmen side by the rector of the Turkmen institute Gulshat Yusupova.
