The International University of Humanities and Development is holding the V Open Mathematical Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries (OMOUS-2025).

This year's Olympiad brought together over half a thousand experts of the Queen of sciences from 60 universities of our country and abroad. Turkmenistan is represented at the competition site by more than 400 students from all domestic universities.

About 200 talented mathematicians from more than 30 leading universities have arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Olympiad universities from all over the world. Among them are students from Russia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Iran, UAE, India, Poland, Romania.

A meeting of the participants at the Turkmen university and the opening ceremony of the Olympiad, which took place on April 14, were organized in a deeply friendly, hospitable and festive atmosphere.

After the completion of the solemn part of the event, the individual competitions of the international Olympiad were launched.

The young talents started solving complex mathematical problems and examples in the spacious classrooms of the capital's university, where events were held at a high level.

All necessary conditions have been created at the organizational level. The individual competitions divided the participants into two categories A and B. The first included students studying mathematics and computer science, the second included students of other specialties.

Team competitions will also be held as part of the Olympiad. The jury of the competition is made up of professors and lecturers from universities in Turkmenistan and foreign countries participating in the Olympiad.

A rich cultural program has been prepared for the participants of the Olympiad. It includes guided tours of ancient Nisa, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center Turkmenistan, shopping and entertainment centers of the capital and other events.

Thus, during the days of the Olympiad, foreign guests will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements.

Turkmenistan in the field of science and education, as well as the ancient history, culture, art of the country and the national traditions of the Turkmen people.

The Olympiad will last until April 18 and will become an effective platform for expanding and strengthening friendly relations, sharing knowledge, experience and building lasting relations between representatives of the global academic community.
