Innovative technology for oil pipelines proposed by Turkmen scientists

The laboratory of technologies of alternative energy sources and measuring devices of the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan received a patent for the development of a new technology designed to prevent the formation of paraffin and mothic deposits in oil pipelines.

The project, led by Candidate of Technical Sciences Meretmukhammet Khudaiberdyev, offers a solution to a problem that is relevant for oil transportation, especially in the cold season, when paraffin and resin deposits form in pipelines, leading to their blockage.

Innovative technology is based on the principle of heat accumulation. It uses alternative energy sources to accumulate heat, which is then preserved and is used to maintain the necessary oil temperature in pipelines.

This approach allows not only to effectively combat the formation of paraffin deposits and facilitate the pumping of thick oil, but also provides a number of additional advantages. In particular, the technology allows the use of oil refining waste (such as oil, sand, salt and water) for environmental and economic benefits.

In addition, energy production using alternative sources is not accompanied by emissions of harmful gases, and the accumulated heat can be used as needed, ensuring stable operation of the oil pipeline system.

Obtaining a patent opens up new prospects for the implementation of this development in the oil and gas infrastructure of Turkmenistan, which can significantly increase the efficiency and reliability of transportation of hydrocarbons.
