The Turkmen delegation participates in the conference "Strengthening academic partnership between universities Europe and Central Asia: Joint programs, Research and Academic mobility", which takes place in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
The conference was attended by representatives of the world's leading higher education institutions, national offices of Erasmus+, and international organizations. Turkmenistan is represented by teachers of the International University on the sidelines of the forum Habib Khalmamedov, the Turkmen State Institute of Finance Shohrat Byashimov and the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management Arslan Matkarimov.
The main objectives of the conference are to establish and support international academic partnerships, modernize curricula and programs that meet both Central Asian and European standards, build research capacity, and improve teaching methods in order to improve the quality of higher education in the region. Central Asia, increasing academic mobility, studying exchange programs, and introducing sustainable development and environmental culture into academic programs and research projects.
Among the expected results of the event are the acquisition of enhanced international cooperation skills, the modernization of educational activities, the organization of joint research initiatives, the improvement of teaching practices and pedagogical activities, and the strengthening of institutional capacity for internationalization universities, acquisition of special skills in the field of environmental safety and sustainable development based on joint scientific and educational projects.
Noting the importance of preserving the already achieved results of international projects, the conference participants emphasize the need to move to long-term strategic formats of cooperation. The delegates identified the following as priority areas of cooperation: the development of joint educational programs and research initiatives, academic mobility and human resource sustainability., ensuring the quality of projects, supporting digitalization and innovative development. Following the results of the international conference, it is planned to adopt a corresponding resolution.
