The Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov will hold the 1st Internet Olympiad in Biotechnology among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.

The competition is organised by the Department of Agriculture of the Agronomy Faculty of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov.

Up to five students from each university can take part in the Olympiad, regardless of their field of study and specialty.

The Olympiad will take place on the 21st of May at 14:00 and will be held online as an individual competition. Participants will be asked 50 test questions, which they will have to answer within 60 minutes. Each correct answer is worth 1-5 points, depending on the difficulty level of the question.

The jury of the competition includes representatives of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov. The winners of the competition will be determined by the highest number of points scored.

The Olympiad is held in accordance with the objectives set in the State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Biotechnology in Turkmenistan for 2024-2028. 

The objectives of the Olympiad are to assess the quality of training of the students, stimulate their interest in research activities, develop professional skills of the students, deepen their knowledge of academic disciplines, establish effective links in these areas between universities in the country, as well as identify and encourage talented young people who can worthily represent the country at international competitions.
